Mazar-e-shouda |  Martyrs ‘ graveyard

Freedom’s terrible thirst, flooding Kashmir,
is bringing love to its tormented glass,
Stranger, who will inherit the last night of the past?
Of what shall I not sing, and sing?

    dear Iateilang

dont u know that the poet is dead
dont u know that the POET is dead
    we all know,
and yet we want him to write
more about us that about himself.
    and i guess he will,
through the fallen victim on the roads in kashmir
    or else where.

it does not matter if his name is not aga shahid ali

once Agha shahid ali was traveling at Barcelona airport.. he was stopped by a female security guard and she asked shahid, ” Are you carrying anything that could be dangerous to other passengers?.. At this, Shahid clapped a hand to his chest and said: “only my heart”.. He was truly an outspoken personality.. hats off to u sir..
