As India celebrates the 60th anniversary of it's Independence, this provocative and quietly disturbing new film raises questions about freedom in Kashmir, and about the degrees of freedom in India.
And here is a short Interview with the film-maker.
This Jashn-e-Azadi blog is an open forum for conversations about the film, about Kashmir, and about Azadi itself.

kashmir a hell for us and paradise for others from times when we were born we only saw voilence killing and rapes
U r right my brother but this was UN in1948 who have there great deal with it. And now we are between dual and deep sea.
ANOTHER BLOOD SHEDED DAY IN KASHMIR.OH ALMIGHTY HEAR OUR VOICES.WE ARE TRAPED FROM THIS PARADISE TO HELL.
BADIPORA THE MOST DANGEROUS VILLAGE IN TANGMARG.WE ARE READY TO SCARFICE OUR LIVES.WE ONLY FIGHT FOR FREEDOM.
BADIPORA IN TANGMARG PEOPLE READY TO SCARIFICE THEIR LIVES FOR FREEDOM.READY TO DO ANYTHING.
Two years ago i went to delhi . Fortunately,i get a chance to interfact with a scholor , during our discussion about international issues he tried to prove himself more intellectual . But,he was set back how much potential a common kashmiri has got. Then if accused me of being pakistani . From that time i am puzzling why we are filling forms like passport ,job or applications forms with indian nationality . My question to c. M & all indians is to assign us nationality when indians are not accept us to solve our puzzle.
reply to mr manzoor ahmad: every time kashmiris are facing problims in india. almost 27 years of our age passed in these years i only saw bloody days and nights. were is true ” mooj kasheer”. it is better for a kashmiri to stay out side india rather to stay in. students, business man are taged with different names. Can we reach a resolution of this issue… without the involvement and wishes of the people of Kashmir? No, we cannot reach it.
Kashmir hamara hai iss ka faisla ham khud karen ge. We want only freedom. Akhter Ali. Pulwama
To solve Kashmir Problem we all should geather in one platform & should have one voice.
Do good and ve good,we are and will remain very kindly to india, but india should feel, treet us as they should.
i dont agree with ur coment . We kashmiri people only want complete freedom from indian domination.Sopore warriors r ready 2 fight……………………………………..Zealous Butt

kabhi apne gareban main jaank ke deh lo aur apne zameer se be pooch lena ki agar hindustan ja ke koi aap se enquiry karta hai kya woh jayiz nahin hai, kuonki jahan be dahshatgardi dekho wahan kashmiri hoga.20-25 saal pahle aisa na tha aap ko har koi izzat ki nigah sae dekhta tha.Jitni aazadi kashmir main thee utni to dunia main kahin nahin thee.
kashmir is not a personal parental property so that u can do as u like.what you have sown ,you are reaping ,so why wailing now, blood of innocents is spalattered over your faces.Khoon-i-nahak…you have to pay .no way out…
I want to release our kashmir from indian dogs
kashmir hamri janat thi barthi phoujo ne iss kou jahnam se bi bater banaa diyaa
war till victory
Kashmir was a separate country in past and will be inshallah.Mughals conquered India,Britishers colonised India and Kashmir in the both periods was a separate state.we’re different in every respect from India. Our geographical location, culture, religious matters are unique.we only want here “ISLAMIC KHILAFAT”
i want india to solve the problem of kashmir forever
Jub say hosh sambala ha qatul garat, khoon kharaba, zena dekhnay ko mila hamare aankhay aazadi ko taras rahe ha.
it is becoz of indians in kashmir.kashmirians were treated very badly by indians.
Kashmir par jo film bnaye gaye uss ki DVD kahan milayge
what about you guys treating kashmiri pandits badly?
Does that not count as sins!
Go and read you revenue records you would realize 70% of Muslims in Kashmir have hindu heritgae
kashmir ki aazadi toh haq hai aur haq hi rahe ga lekin kya kashmiriyo ne kabhi socha hai k aisa hamare sath kyu ho raha hai.Hum kaha jaa rahe hai?kya hamari zindagi sahaba rizwanullahi ajma een ka jeeta jaagta namuna hai?Hamari betiyoon, bahowoo ka tareqa dekho kya yeh kisi tarah muslim ladkiya dikh rahi hai?Hamare bhayiyoo ka kya haal hai?’YAAD RAKHO’ khuda tab tak us kaum ki taqdeer nahi badalta jab tak log apni taqdeer khud badalne k liye aamada na ho.
Dont afset my bro’s inshallah one day we all win
i love kashmir i want freedam from india
In a World where people are surrounded by darkness, ignorance and fear, it is a sign of hope to be celebrating Islam’s message of peace and light, and the last great Messenger, born and chosen to deliver them to all mankind.
Shaheed tum sy yeh keh rahe hain lahoon hamara bula na dena.
Jo kam sharoo hoti hai wo zaroor anjaam ko pohanch jati hai.we should hate india, indian internal policy, foriegn policy and strongly its name
