As India celebrates the 60th anniversary of it's Independence, this provocative and quietly disturbing new film raises questions about freedom in Kashmir, and about the degrees of freedom in India.
And here is a short Interview with the film-maker.
This Jashn-e-Azadi blog is an open forum for conversations about the film, about Kashmir, and about Azadi itself.

I am 62yrs old. I yearn to be with suffering people, over there, myself.
I do not know how and where to approach.
how can i get copy of the short film
Thank U for u kind concern for the oppressed masses but if u really want to help do something for the people who are languishing in jails for foghtong for the oppressed people
My heart goes out for the Kashmiri people who are being subjected to continuous and ruthless violence of suppression and subjugation by Indian and Pakistani forces on their own territory on either side of the LOC. It is high time for both India and Pakistan to seriously make a rethink on their respective policies on kashmir before they pay the price for their sins in kashmir. Commendable and excellent job of Mr. KAK for his depiction of ground reality of Kashmir valley and the mindless violence unleashed on the innocent Kashmiris by the suppressive forces of India and pakistan.Good Job Sir. Hats off to you.
State sponsored terror is a black spot on Indian democracy. The collective conscious of Indians is also dead. They very well know what role Indian paramilitary forces are playing but are mum. Please wake up and follow your conscious and sto your politicians from killing innocent Kashmiris.
